Due to popular demand, the Beer Contest of Rinoceronte Day returns for its second edition!
After the triumphant victory of the Highlanders Zero11 in 2024, which team will manage to raise the highly coveted Golden Pint this year?
Once again, after the conclusion of the Old Tournament, teams will have the chance to either overturn or confirm the field verdict at the bar counter. In addition to the Wooden Mole Trophy, the “Golden Pint 2025” will also be awarded to the team that fields the best “third-halfer.”
At 6:00 PM, all teams are invited to nominate one or two representatives, who must present themselves at the stand area, at the “Beer Ring,” to compete against their designated opponents over the classic 0.4 cl distance.
Single-elimination matches and a final round with 3 contestants: whoever covers the distance first wins the round!
FEW SIMPLE RULES: • Participants in the official Beer Contest must show up at the stand wearing their team kit.
• Participants may only hold the glass with one hand.
• It is forbidden to introduce the contents of the glass into the body by any means other than the mouth (NO: ears, nose, or other).
• In case of a tie, the appointed Pint Judges will make a final and unappealable decision, based on the “drop test” (turning the glass upside down).
• Teams may organize internal qualifying rounds to select their third-halfer before the tournament, but not during the competition itself.
• The contest starts from the quarterfinals: all teams from the Old Tournament are invited to participate with one representative, including the official event radio, which reportedly has serious ambitions to claim the title.
The winner will be proclaimed live on international radio at www.radiobandito.it as the best third-halfer of the tournament and will officially kick off the Third Half of the Mole di Rugby for all participating teams.

A grande richiesta torna il Beer Contest del Rinoceronte Day
Seconda edizione. Dopo la trionfante vittoria degli Highlanders Zero11 nel
2024, quale sarà la squadra che riuscirà nell’impresa di alzare l’ambitissima Golden
Pint? Anche quest’anno dopo la conclusione del Torneo Old, le squadre avranno
la possiblità di ribaltare o confermare al bancone del bar il verdetto del
campo. Oltre al Trofeo della Mole di Legno verrà infatti assegnato anche quet’anno il premio “Golden Pint 2025” alla squadra che saprà schierare il miglior
“terzotempista”.
Alle 18.00 tutte le squadre sono invitate a nominare uno o
due rappresentanti che dovranno presentarsi presso l’area stand al “Beer Ring” e
misurarsi contro gli avversari designati sulla distanza classica dei 0,4 cl.
Incontri ad eliminazione diretta e finale a 3, passa il turno chi riuscirà a
coprire per primo l’intera distanza.
POCHE E SEMPLICI REGOLE:
- I partecipanti all’official Beer Contest dovranno presentarsi allo stand in
divisa - I partecipanti possono afferrare il bicchiere con una mano sola
- E’ vietata l’introduzione del contenuto del bicchiere per altre vie che non
siano quella orale (NO: orecchie, naso o altro) - In caso di arrivo a pari merito si esprimeranno ad insindacabile giudizio i
designati Giudici di pinta, previa “prova della goccia” a bicchiere
capovolto - Sono ammesse fasi eliminatorie all’interno di ogni squadra per la designazione
del terzotempista ma non durante lo svolgimento del torneo - La competizione inizia dai quarti di finale a cui sono invitati tutte le
squadre del Torneo Old con un loro rappresentante, inclusa la Radio
ufficiale dell’evento che pare abbia intenzioni serie di puntare
direttamente al titolo.
Il vincitore sarà proclamato in diretta radio internazionazionale
su www.radiobandito.it come miglior
terzotempista del Torneo e potrà dichiarare ufficialmente iniziato il terzo
tempo della Mole di Rugby per tutte le squadre partecipanti.
